Seriously. What the hell is going on?
So far, all that has been revealed about Arcadia is a collection of colourful images (are they screenshots? Concept art? What?), a vague genre (it’s a “utopian” point-and-click adventure, apparently), a trailer that doesn’t really explain much (after the jump) and a series of… well, principles.
The fourth one’s just been released, and is the Principle of Polarity (all are based on the Hermetic Principles of… oh, Christ, I don’t know). The Principle of Poliarity states that everything must have an opposite, and… to be honest, I’m just alt-tabbing between here and the ModDB news post, not taking much of it in. Make of that what you will.
But oh my goodness, this looks so interesting. On the mod scene – heck, on the games scene – stuff so barmy and wonderful and artsy-bollocks is a rare treat for me. Except, um, I don’t actually own a copy of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Darn!
They released a trailer while I was away/ill this weekend. Here it is. Not much to go by, by it is looking very purdy. And a nice choice of music, to boot.

On a second note, I like how this site is doing. It’s filling in pieces that moddb.com let go: articles about mods, interviews with dev teams. May I ask for a podcast about mods?
It’s on our todo list! We’ve definitely discussed it at length, so you can probably expect it at some point in the future :)
On topic though, I’m actually hugely looking forward to this, despite having no idea what I’m actually looking forward *to*.
Podcast is an idea we’ve gently tickled… Podcast 17 already does it very well, though it’s pure Source-mod based…
