Our favourite robot vs. dinosaur multiplayer mod Jailbreak: Source has been holding theme nights for the past few weeks, from Romeo and Juliet reenactments to kareoke nights. Now, to celebrate the release of the 0.6.1 update they’ve just announced a talent contest to take place this Saturday, March 27th at 7:30 GMT.
All you have to do to participate is declare your intentions on the comments thread here, and then jump onto the specified server to perform on the night. There’s a special stage map being made (pictured above) and the winner might even scoop a prize, so get involved if you have any of the awesome talents listed below:
“Singing, rapping, dinosaur impressions, stand-up comedy, burping the alphabet, poetry reading, listing various ways to kill Wills, balancing melons … you name it and we’ll call it ‘talent’.”
Or you can just head to the ModDB page to chuckle at the videos of the special events that have already happened. In all seriousness though, modders and developers should take heed. Holding events like this is not only hilarious, but also a really great way to build a community for your mod. Mind you, I can’t see the Project Reality folks holding a ‘kiss chase’ event any time soon. A man can dream.

I hope the normal servers will be populated too, I can’t really see any players playing this usually.
