This first appeared on ModDB’s database a week or so ago, but today appears to mark the official “hello, look at us!” period in the mod’s development. Epidemic is an upcoming singleplayer effort which aims to “bring some realism back to the classic horror and adventure story that always came before massive graphics and an engine that could cope with a thousand on-screen zombies at once.” While I’m not sure “realism” is the word they’re looking for, the big chain of screenshots its solo developer has just released look entirely promising.
From what I can gather, this is something that was in production a while ago, given the big “Just updating the fact I am back!” line at the end of the description. I might be wrong on that count, though, since I’ve not heard of it before. Pretty pictures here.
