Okay, I guess it had to happen; Team Fortress 2 fans may have thought they were having a bit of a laugh creating these pictures of the (non-existent) ‘Team Fortcraft’, but someone else saw them and thought ‘I could make that into a mod’. Modders JetDragonsLeague seem quite happy to invite mockery from every Tuftoo fan on the face of the internet, but at the same time it does look as if they’re taking Fortress Craft perfectly seriously.
The project’s not really any more than concept renders and developer notes at the moment, so who knows if it’ll get anywhere, but the StarCraft 2 editor seems more than up to the challenge and their modelling skills are certainly a cut above a great deal of ModDB.
Hey, sometimes even an idea’s worth making a little fuss about. Fingers crossed. I don’t know if I’d buy TF2: the RTS exactly, but I’d definitely give the mod a shot.
